| On the evening of Thursday, October 24, 2019, Crossroads Urban Center will be recognizing the service of three amazing volunteers with a program that begins at 6:00 PM in the lobby of our downtown food pantry, located at 347 South 400 East. During the hour before the program we will be having an Open House where the public is invited to come socialize and learn more about Crossroads Urban Center. Lane Gardinier will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award. Lane has been involved with Crossroads for over 15 years and has volunteered in so many ways, including serving as the Chair of our Board of Directors. We are lucky to have Lane so deeply involved with our work and grateful to have the chance to honor him. Community organizing and advocacy award will be presented to Margeau Westley and Rev. Christine Myers-Tegeder. Mareau Westley is being recognized for decades of volunteering for grassroots projects like JEDI for Women and the Anti-Hunger Action Committee. Rev. Christine Myers-Tegeder is being recognized for exemplary service in the Coalition of Religious Communities. |  Lane Gardinier will be presented with a Life Time Achievement Award recognizing the over fifteen years he has volunteered for us. |
