On Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 3 PM, the Coalition of Religious Communities will be setting up tents outside the County Government Center and inviting County officials to come out and talk with us about the importance of building housing to end homelessness. Over the next two years Salt Lake County will receive $225 million in funding through the American Rescue Plan Act. The Coalition of Religious Communities believes County officials should dedicate twenty percent of that funding to the production of housing that would reduce homelessness in the County and to ask cities in Salt Lake County to join in dedicating ARPA funds to this important purpose.
