Earlier this year members of the Coalition of Religious Communities successfully supported legislation requiring the state to study child homelessness and make recommendations for reducing it. The first report after the passage of this legislation is due to be released on October 2nd. We will have copies at our quarterly meeting for Salt Lake County on the following day and at our meeting in Ogden on October 19. We are hoping to pull together a similar event in Utah County in November. We will post more details about that when they are available.
At these meetings we will also will have materials for our second annual Ending Child Homelessness Sabbath in January.
