It’s that time of year again! The GOLDEN CELERY competition began Friday and we have already received over 600 pounds of food! This is an opportunity for our faith communities to engage in some friendly competition to see who can raise the most pounds of food per capita in the month of July. Typically, our Food Pantry experiences a drop in donations with an increase in participants during the months of June & July. Last year, June saw 2200 pounds of food donated, compared with over 18,600pounds during the Golden Celery! This increase allows us to continue serving those who are deeply in need.
