Archie Archuleta Square:  Our plan to serve the community for another sixty years

2026 marks the 60th Anniversary of the creation of Crossroads Urban Center. One way we are celebrating this anniversary is by preparing to serve the community for another 60 years with a new facility.  This facility will be named Archie Archuleta Square and be located at 1410 W. Indiana Avenue  It will bring together our Westside Food Pantry and Thrift Store, both located in the Poplar Grove neighborhood, in one single location that is designed to provide a better experience for the people we serve.

The 8,105-square-foot development will significantly expand pantry operations, offering a larger and more comfortable waiting area, private intake offices, walk-in refrigeration and freezer units, and a prep area for grab-and-go meals.
These upgrades will create a more welcoming, efficient, and confidential environment for clients while providing staff with workspace that the current facility lacks.

The new Thrift Store will feature a bright, accessible storefront along Indiana Avenue and a layout designed for easy flow, visibility, and efficient restocking.

Additional project elements include a community meeting room, shared staff amenities, small retail spaces for local entrepreneurs, and a landscaped courtyard for gatherings and events.

Water-wise landscaping, rooftop solar, and high-efficiency systems will reduce operational costs, while accessible walkways and thoughtfully designed outdoor areas will provide a dignified, inclusive experience for all visitors.
